Hi,

I was just about to spend a few hours/days searching, installing and testing email clients for pocket pc. When I suddenly thought .. stop ! Is there anyone who could recommend an email client for a pocket pc, the most important condition is that it has to be able to access IMAP accounts (plus it needs to be cheap). So if anyone is using a package they would recommend and wish to ease the burden of an over worked, lowly paid learning technology adviser in the south west of England, then please reply  Cheesy

Don't understand guys,

Why can't you use the email client that comes with the device ? I have XDA II, i-mate and Qtek Pocket PCs all getting incoming mail via an IMAP server

a)that would be too easy!

b)Not sure what andys  requirement was, mine was that  I wanted to find some alternatives...and I didnt  like the built in email client :-)
It did work, but I found some aspects of it annoying. Also for one server I use we use an alternative socket number, which the mail client would not let me configure.(at least I couldnt find anywhere I could set it...)

I also had hassle  when I wanted to download all my email accounts in one go (4 different email accounts!!), the device insisted on dropping the connection between each account. At the time the workround was to initiate the dial up connection, then go to the mail, download each account, then go and drop the connection....which was a bit "clunky"

I must check this out again as I have yet another PPC device now.

best wishes
