As mentioned
earlier in the week Nintendo have now announced the new version of their hugely successful DS handheld games console known as the
DSi.
DSi has a number of new functions and some enhancements on the existing Nintendo DS Lite following feedback from consumers.
Enhancements:
- DSi is thinner, the screen size has increased slightly and the speaker volume and sound quality has improved.
New functions:
- Two cameras and real-time interactive imaging software that makes the picture taking experience different from that offered by any other portable device.
- Audio Playback via SD Card (in AAC format)
- In addition, game players will appreciate the introduction of built in flash memory, which means games can be downloaded and saved directly onto your DSi.
- Developers will appreciate a central processor that can run at twice the speed of the current one, allowing them to deliver even better game experiences.
President of Nintendo, Mr. Iwata's presentation will be online at around lunchtime today, with the English translations at the following URL:
