The judges have decided and the finalists for this years Handheld Learning Awards for Innovation have been announced.

Now it is your turn to cast your votes to decide who will be this years winners!

Don't forget that attendance during the day on Monday 13th October and in the evening for the party is FREE, so come on and support your fellow innovators!

Hi Graham,

I think that the high quality of the finalists you list proves that your initiative to start the HHL awards has worked. I hope that we can somehow encourage them to start to post here about what they do. I know that they are busy people, as all teachers and educationalists are, but their growing experience needs to be captured so that the awards have a legacy.

Many thanks David. I must say that we were bowled over with the quality and diversity of the nominations, certainly gave the Judges something to work on!

I also hope that the finalists will also take the opportunity to post in these forums and let people know more about their work and achievements.

It's also great to see that some are already taking the initiative and letting their local community know about their successful nominations in their local press as can be seen in this article from the Bradford Telegraph & Argus at the weekend:

Tonight at midnight (UK time) is the last opportunity to make your votes for winners for this years Handheld Learning Awards for Innovation. We have already received a large number of  votes and they are coming in fast so please make yours count if you haven't yet done so.

It's great to see that many of the finalists are promoting themselves both here and through platforms such as Facebook to canvas votes. There have also been a couple of examples where local press have picked up on their local hero innovators. Take Steve Pritchard in Nottingham for example:
