The internet is abuzz with stories about Apple ordering up the manufacturer of 8 million+ 3G versions of their iPhone with release expected in 2nd Quarter meaning around May/June. So far, rumours haven't confirmed which territories will have the benefit of taking these new babies for a spin but many would say that it's not before time although I suspect that we'll be looking towards the end of the year before we see them in the UK stores.

3G iPhone rumours appear to have started from an analyst at the Bank of America following reports of an inventory shortage of existing iPhones that use EDGE.

No news about enhanced camera, bluetooth, etc But those wanting video on their iPhone now might be interested in using Showtime from Polar Bear Farm  Wink

Fueling speculation about the imminent introduction of a 3G version of the Apple iPhone prices of the existing 8Gb version have been slashed in the UK by £100 to £169 on an O2 contract.

It will be interesting to see what the exchange/upgrade provisions will be for those on existing O2 contracts with EDGE based iPhones wanting to upgrade to speedy 3G versions.
