Smartphone and Pocket PC Magazine has announced this years "Best Software Award Winners"

Applications in the RedHalo Pro bundle did well this year.

Winner in the Browser category is the latest version of Opera Mobile 8.65 which having tested it here on EDA's and Ameo's is, quite frankly, superb now that it supports Flash, image saving, tabbed browsing, etc. Expect to see a full review here soon :-)

Winner in the Handwriting category is Calligrapher which really improves the handwriting recognition capabilities of Windows Mobile 5/6

Finalist in the Notes category is sketching, animating and note-taking application PhatPad, another favourite amongst EDA users!

Plenty of interesting applications to be found in the winners and finalists list, although no real education category yet. Something for us to consider for Handheld Learning Awards (Handees) next year perhaps
