iPods are being used in language classes in Edinburgh, Scotland according to this article in the
Scotsman.
Meanwhile, the latest technology brought into the school comes from Apple, which has donated 50 iPods for a pilot investigating the use of handheld technologies. The initiative allows pupils to record lessons to practise, for example, languages anytime, anywhere.
Modern languages teacher Jenny Dowling says: "The pupils are really into iPods so using them in the classroom means they actually look forward to their lessons, which is great. I teach French and Italian and it enables us to record the kids having conversations using the iPod and they can go home at night and practise."
Homework will never be the same again.
