I was once in a meeting a couple of years ago when somebody asked what the [original] Microsoft Zune was. A respected Microsoft representative said that it did everything the Apple iPod did to which another person at the meeting replied pithily "except sell".
Well Microsoft's latest developments may just change their fortunes in this area.
Finally the curtains have been drawn to officially reveal the Zune HD, marking Microsoft's assault into Apple's iPod touch territory.
The Zune HD is certainly the swan to it's predecessors ugly duckling with what appears to be a magnificent screen and the makings of an Apple App Store like "Marketplace" for downloads.
Assuming it can be made to be compatible with iTunes as is the soon to be released
Palm Pre and is supported by a decent web browser and an abundance of applications then the Zune could be more good news for the mobile computing space in learning & teaching.
