After RM's launch of their Asus Minibook at the Handheld Learning Conference last week Jack Schofield from the Guardian ask's "Is the £199 laptop a PC or an appliance?"

Is there really one device we've all been waiting for? I don't think so, if the talk about personalisation of learning is an ethos that is worth following then surely we are all waiting for lots of difference devices? The RM Asus being just one of them.

I really don't want to see loads of schoolchildren and students and educators all carrying the same thing! Via la difference! Wink

Agree with you Stu there is no single killer solution/device and for some students not using a mobile device may be a reasonable option.

Just be careful that your views against a single device take into account younger learners as well.
