Hi,
My name is Megan Iemma, from Heathdale Christian College in Melbourne, Australia. My passion is working with iPods in a variety of manners to be used as handheld devices for learning for both students and adults. By training, I am a classroom music teacher but I am passionate about music technology...
I am also an Apple Distinguished Educator...
Does anyone else use iPods as a handheld device..I have been working in programs for music theory and aural training to go onto the iPod via a program called 'iWriter" and an online tool called "Mogopop".
THanks
Megan A Iemma

Hello Megan! I think iWriter is a terrific tool and I bet you have created some great learning opportunities for music students. I look forward to reading more about what you do with iPods!
I have collected some resources for using iPods in education. Check out the site and my podcast at

and hopefully you'll pick up an idea or two.

By way of experiment, I have utilised the iPod's Notes facility to create a set of multiple choice quizzes (with video and audio support) for learners of French.
See:
http://www.ashcombe.surrey.sch.uk/ipod/ipod.html
where there is also a video clip demonstrating a quiz in use.
I was invited to give a presentation about this project in June at the DIVERSE 2007 Conference in Norway; more info here

Feel free to download the 'zip' file and try them out. All constructive comments welcome.
