2  Technology matters / Entertainment consoles / Re: Using Nintendo DS in education? on: July 04, 2007, 05:59:44 PM
Hi,

Have started to experiment with Nintendo DS Big Brain Academy (http://www.bigbrainacademy.com/) and  am quite impressed from a motivational perspective but 'tasks' can not be modified to suit individual needs. Woudn't it be great if there was a framework that allowed modification of parametrs and individualisation?

4  Technology matters / iPod & media players / e-Books on iPods on: October 28, 2006, 10:13:32 PM
Great conference folks. Lots of talk about e-Books on PDAs/EDAs etc but no mention of the iPod!

Probably lots of different ways of doing this but this utility/PHP script loads large text file and splits it into notes for use on iPod. It is easy to read your book in plain text format on your iPod via Notes functionality. All notes will be automatically linked, so you can move from one to another with absolute ease. It's as simple as turning pages of the book.

Does anyone know if there is a facility to convert the notes on an iPod into an audio file so that it is possible to read and listen at he same time?

Quick question - are we going to have today's presentations posted on the site? Will there be any podcasts etc?

It hardly feels like a year since our last conference but this one is promising to be another special one.

We
enjoyed our last conference so much and the feedback from delegates was
so positive that we felt that we'd already set ourselves a challenge to
take this years event a bit further.

Moving from Goldsmith
College to the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster has
been quite a leap and we must say that it could only have been made
possible with the help of our supporters and a community which
continues to grow.

So much. . .
