It's the season of freeness. Maybe the recent words of wired editor, Chris Anderson, in his latest book "Free (http://www.thelongtail.com/the_long_tail/2007/05/my_next_book_fr.html)" where everything (apart from his book) is free in the next wave of business, really is the future. And today you can get loads of stuff free with a mobile contract including Nintendo Wii's, PS3's and laptops.

This time, Edinburgh based Powerup Mobile have launched a scheme where they are giving away a free Asus EEE PC to customers signing up to T-Mobile's Web n Walk mobile broadband package.

At £35 per month for 24 months, this is still outside the grasp of most students but still a promising indicator of things to come especially when Carphone Warehouse ramp up their free laptop offers expected shortly.
