.... give it a suitable simulator/emulator to allow it to run PalmOS apps or even proper virtualisation to deal with both Palm and winMob and it could be an nteresting world.

Though  doubtless the usual industry squabbles would not allow such a useful device...

Then again new macs can run windows in a virtual machine......

Actually Intel based Macs don't even require a virtual machine, they can be downgraded to running Windows XP or Vista natively by using Bootcamp.
