All you early birds that registered for the conference and got yourself a free Nintendo DS, please don't forget to bring it with you fully charged and raring to go.
One of the things you'll be doing with it during the conference sessions is chattingand sharing your thoughts with each other. You may even find yourself in groups where you'll be asked to present some of your thinking to the wider audience.
The technology you'll be using to do this is already built-in to your DS and it's called Pictochat. If you haven't used Pictochat yet don't worry because you'll soon get the hang of it.
Steve Bunce of Northumberland County Council has very graciously produced both a video and downloadable how-to guide that will get you started. If you're still a bit stuck find a 5 year old who will be more than happy to help out. Ideally you should try this out with another DS owning friend before you come to the conference but there will also be plenty of opportunities on the first day.
