Learning Intention in Mobile Learning

M-learning has now emerged as a new wave of development, based on the use of mobile devices combined with wireless infrastructure. The challenge for educators and designers, however, is one of understanding and exploring how best we might use these resources to support learning. That we need to do this is clear – how much sense does it make to continue to exclude from schools, powerful technologies that are seen as a normal part of everyday life? At the present time, however, the learners’ attitude to use mobile as a channel to learn and improve their knowledge is the focusing point of knowledge sharing in mobile learning communities.

For more understanding the learner attitude in mobile learning, I want to do research.
The research purpose is to understand the behavior of using M-learning system.

Sincerely appreciate for completing this theoretical research. The questionnaire was conducted with anonymity. All personal information would be dealt with confidential. I would like to take some more minute to fulfill the survey follow the link below.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Lily / Lee

Welcome to the forum, sorry that you feel overlooked. I can assure you that this community is a friendly and active one  Smiley

Although I understand your statement I'm not sure I understand your question.

You have referred to a survey but have not explained where or how this survey is being conducted. Also you have suggested that nobody will support your research but have not explained what support you require.

This could simply be an error in translation but please do not give up.

Perhaps you might provide more information about yourself, your research and what help you are looking for.

I'm sure you will find a lot of information here.

Good luck!

Hi Lily,
After carefully reading your post I noticed the survey at the bottom of it. If you'd like to get more responses, I would recommend that you seriously consider putting the survey on the web so that it is easier for people to fill out and submit. Having to download and unzip the excel file, fill it out, save it, then send it back is a hassle for many, believe it or not. You may want to think about a tool like surveymonkey (http://www.surveymonkey.com), or check with your employer/university to see if they have a surveytool that you can use.

Don't give up. We need the research.

Very happy........ has somebody gave me the comment and information

Thank you for your suggestion.... Mark.

Now I know what I should improve for my research but one thing that
I would like to know who has classe using mobile to support the teaching process.

I want to find somebody who is interested in this research to cooperate with me.

In Asia country, mobile learning grows slower than Western country.

Anyway, I hope my research can go further.

Hi Everybody

User behavior is very important to any learning. It's the main factor affect to user acceptance system
especially mobile learning.

Emerge of mobile phone supporting the learning and teaching system that we have to concern
whether it can go further than current.

I would like to ask somebody to contribute my reach that Is it possible for learner accepting
this kind of technology (mobile learning) in learning system.

Give me some minute for this research

Mobile learning is quite new in some country and it also difficult to change in learning system
but maybe this research can give us more understanding from your answer.

Hi Wathanaporn

I do hope you are getting more answers to your survey, its great researchers are taking more of an interest in this field.

May I suggest a few things which might help improve uptake in addition to those already said;

  • Break the survey up into small chunks. I think 20 questions is generally the most people will answer online
  • Also (and please do not be offended) I am guessing English is not your first language from the writing style, could I suggest getting a colleague who is a native speaker to check over the survey before posting it. I think it might help the readability.
  • It would be useful to also collect some information on respondents e.g. age, sex, familiarity with mobile learning etc. The problem is at the moment I don't see how you are going to break your results down into groupings and also if you are only approaching forums where there is established interest mobile learning (like this one) you will end up with skewed results.

I hope you don't mind the criticism, I guess I have written a few too many surveys myself!! Wink

Good luck with the research
