This has recently been published in Australia.
http://web.ceo.melb.catholic.edu.au/index.php?sectionid=333It outlines a trial we have run in Year 6 classrooms over the last two years using Zire 72s. I still cannot for the life of me work out why this model was discontinued other than for the obvious reason that it wasn't making money. But, but, but the 72 has got, (had) everything you'd want in a handheld device.
Perhaps it may be symptomatic of Palm world wide but, after initially supporting us last year, they simply do not seem interested in supporting handhelds in education in Australia. At last week's national computers in education conference in Cairns, there were half a dozen other speakers on handhelds in Australian classrooms.
Best wishes
