This discussion group has now been moved to LinkedIn
hereAfter 6 years the time has come for us to move this discussion group to a new home that already has over 1,200 verified members with full professional profiles online.
Since 2004 this has been one of the most vibrant and frequently visited discussion forums about mobile computing and learning on the web with excellent contributions being made by a passionate community that has established a valuable online and searchable resource.
However the maintenance of this board has become too time consuming for our small team where we have been fighting the good fight against spammers and the daily flood of registrations from those with no interest in the community here other than seeking ways of increasing their search engine ratings. Of course, as a consequence, we miss those who genuinely want to connect and share knowledge.
When we started this board social media networks such as Facebook and professional networks such as LinkedIn were a twinkle in the eye of their respective developers but now they are huge and assume much of the heavy lifting that enable's social and professional network connections between trusted individuals whose identity is not in doubt.
Naturally, we will keep the discussions that have taken place here since 2004 available for browsing and as an archive of a piece of the history in the mobile/handheld learning that has, after all, proved to be
correct and no longer in doubt!Thank you all for your contributions, passion and willingness to share.
I look forward to seeing you in one or more of the new professional and social groups.
